Course Description

In just one and a half hours, this course will transform you from coffee maker to barista. Bean Roasted barista basics takes the guesswork out of making the perfect brew, giving you the technical skills to successfully operate an espresso machine.

Our barista training focuses on the three key elements that come together to make a great cup of coffee: Shot dosing/extraction, milk texturing and pouring.

With the help of our highly trained baristas and coffee experts, you will be well on your way to that smooth and silky cup of joe.

If you’re wanting to accelerate your skills and knowledge in brewing coffee at home, or you’re planning on making your mark on the barista world – this course is for you.

What you will learn

  • The difference between blends and single origin coffees
  • How to operate the espresso machine
  • Dosing, distribution & tamping
  • Fundamentals of ristretto vs espresso & extractions
  • Break down of how to achieve silky milk
  • How to free-pour all your coffees to achieve colour and shine
  • Coffee machine maintenance needed to achieve ideal machine performance

What to bring

  • Enclosed and comfortable footwear

 $120 per person. (Max 3 people per class)
